While there’s certainly a wealth of blues history behind this CD, all of the material is authentic. The title track, Time Slips By, is a robust lyric about losing the people you like. Though the themes aren’t fairly the same, this tune brings to thoughts Stevie Ray Vaughan’s model of Life by the Drop. Katalin and an up to date and reworked version of Shotgun Blues are two of one of the best songs and Del Grosson’s Arduous to Live With is funny, charming and true to life.

Just found this reference to Mothers. It was a great place to play. I used to be resident there on drums with The Chucks who ultimately became The Approach Of Life ( talked about in each e-book on Led Zep). At that time John Bonham was just one other fan asking questions about drumming. After I left for a much better paid jazz gig John adopted in my footsteps and joined The Approach Of Life and the remaining is history as they are saying. This probably gives the link to Led Zepplin playing at Mothers. Im shocked no one has mentioned Screaming Lord Sutch taking part in at Moms because the piano was at all times demolished and had to get replaced after his performance.
Backed by a nine piece band which incorporates TWO drummers (Michael Sloski, The Cameo Blues Band) Shamakah Ali (The Barkays)) and percussionist (Artwork Avalos, Manteca), horns (David Dunlop (Boss Brass), Simon Wallis (Lighthouse)), Hammond organ (Matt W), piano (Anderson) session guitarist Terry Blersh, Danny Brooks and bass (Collin Barrett), the rhythm this group creates is a freight train which will decide you up and drop you down at the Fillmore East in NYC.
