Thanks WBW. It’s funny how issues change over time. What we found fun as kids would bore most youngsters today. I for one would have loved all of that. Once I was in Alaska we panned for gold and it was pretty cool. We plan to return when the kids get a little bit older and do all of that historical stuff. There may be simply a lot to see and do! Sail away aboard the normal crusing schooner Argia for a journey into the past. The adventure begins with a tour by water of the famous Mystic Seaport Museum and its Tall Ships. Be a part of the crew, in case you like, to lift sail the quaint method or lend a hand steering the ship. Cross through Mystic’s Historic Bascule Bridge, a nationwide historic landmark, as you slide down the Mystic River. Morgan Point Lighthouse and the quaint fishing village of Noank greet you at the river’s mouth, followed by islands and peaceable sailing. Snacks and lemonade are provided.
For the ATV fanatic, now we have lots of of miles of ATV trails are simply accessible from Gowganda and Auld Reekie Lodge. Trip the hills and valley, explore previous logging roads and survey some remaining stands of outdated progress forest.
I am not a big fan of Florida in general, but the Atlantic side of the state appeals to me more than the Gulf coast or southern tip. Except of course the keys, which intrigue me and will entice me to visit again in the future – perhaps, too, I am going to venture to Port Richey.
