My second son, now fourteen, is nicely conscious of our upcoming trip. ExpedAK received underway this previous Sunday when 20 coed teams of 4 took to the starting line on the alarmingly picturesque Eklutha Lake. When the beginning gun went off, the teams set off on a 12 mile (19.3 km) trail run that did nothing to disclose the challenges that lay forward.
